About Isma

Isma Khan’s Journey

What began as a personal experience became a lifelong purpose. Driven by an early exposure to autism within her family, Isma Khan has dedicated over 13 years to understanding and supporting children with developmental differences.

As the first internationally certified BCBA living and practicing full-time in Pakistan, she founded i.kare in 2019 to bring world-class, evidence-based behavioral services, parent training, and professional development to families across the country. Her mission remains focused on empowering children, supporting families, and expanding high-quality autism services nationwide.

Education & Credentials

  1. University of Warwick, UK:

    Completed a Psychology degree to build a strong foundational understanding of human behavior.
  2. Ball State University, USA:

    Earned a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), focusing on autism and developmental support.
  3. BCBA Certification:

    Achieved the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential—a globally recognized standard for advanced training in behavior analysis, assessment, and evidence-based interventions.

Clinical Experience

  1. Snowflake School, London:

    Commenced professional career in a specialized 1:1 setting, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of developmental needs, including non-verbal children.
  2. Carbone Clinic, Dubai:

    Served at a branch of the renowned center founded by Dr. Vincent Carbone. Completed clinical supervision and advanced training under world-leading autism specialists.

Return to Pakistan

In 2017, Isma returned to Pakistan, becoming the first internationally certified BCBA living and practicing full-time in the country. This milestone paved the way for structured, evidence-based autism services locally. In December 2019, she founded i.kare, a center dedicated to professional development, parent training, and high-quality clinical support for families.

Dawn News Television Host

As a guest and later a host on Dawn News’ Chai Toast Aur Host, Isma led a 12-week educational segment alongside Dino Ali. She developed and structured content focused on:

  • Autism Awareness & ADHD management.
  • Child development milestones and the role of play.
  • Evidence-based parenting and behavioral support strategies.

Workshops & Public Education

Recognizing the gap in professional resources, Isma has delivered 15+ workshops and training programs across Karachi and Islamabad. These sessions provide essential knowledge to:
