About i.kare
What is i.kare?
Founded by Isma Khan, BCBA, i.kare stands as one of the first ABA therapy centers in Karachi led by an internationally certified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Since 2019, we have been dedicated to bridging the gap between developmental potential and functional independence.
We believe that early intervention is the heartbeat of progress. By working with children aged 2 to 10 years, we focus on building the foundational pillars of trust, motivation, and engagement. Our evidence-based approach is not just about teaching skills—it is about helping children find their voice, navigate their environment with confidence, and empowering families to thrive every step of the way.

Skills We Teach
Communication & Language

We help children develop meaningful ways to express their needs, wants, thoughts, and feelings through speech or alternative communication systems such as AAC and PECS. Our goal is to build communication that is functional, understood, and meaningful in everyday life.
Behavior Support

Behavior is communication. We work to understand the reason behind challenging behaviors and teach children more effective ways to communicate, cope with frustration, and navigate their environment. This helps reduce barriers to learning while promoting positive and adaptive behaviors.
Attention & Sitting Tolerance

The ability to attend, engage, and remain seated during activities forms the foundation for learning. We help children gradually build focus, participation, and learning readiness so they can engage more successfully at home, school, and in therapy.
Play & Social Interaction

Through structured and natural play, we teach skills such as joint attention, turn-taking, sharing, social engagement, and peer interaction. These foundational skills help children build relationships and participate more confidently in social settings.
Following Instructions & Cooperation

We teach children to understand and follow instructions, respond to cues, complete tasks, and participate in daily routines. These skills support greater independence and success in structured environments such as home and school.
Functional Daily Living Skills

Independence is a key goal of therapy. We support children in developing everyday life skills such as toileting, eating, dressing, tooth brushing, and personal hygiene. We also provide support with desensitization and tolerance-building for activities such as haircuts, nail trimming, and other daily routines.
Learning Readiness & Academic Foundations

Children are taught foundational skills that support future learning, including imitation, matching, visual discrimination, listening skills, answering questions, and early academic concepts. These skills create the building blocks for long-term educational success.
Building Independence

Across all areas of therapy, our goal is to help children become more independent, confident, and successful in their everyday lives, empowering them to participate more fully at home, school, and within their community.
